Alarm System Installation

General Overview

Alarm with keyless entry and remote start

The wiring code for the starting circuit are:

  • +12V:  constant
  • ignitioncomes on when you turn the key, 2 wires
  • startcomes on when you crank the engine
Because European lights are located in headlight and you don't see them from the side of the car I connected the lights control to the turn signals. I've found the good place for connection at the hazard switch on the central console. You'll need a relay with two independent outputs in order to connect one output from the alarm to two sides of the turn signal. You might do it with a normal relay and two diodes but that requires some soldering. On the switch itself, the wires controlling the turn signals are the bottom two.
The door locks were a special story. There only is one wire which does the indication and cotrol at the same time. When the doors are unlocked this wire shows +12V. When you put it to the ground the doors are being locked. When the doors are locked this wire show 0V. When you put it to +12V the doors are being unlocked. The pump that performs locking/unlocking is located in the trunk, in the spare tire well. The green wire coming into it is the one that you need to cut.
